Question: Dear Dr Raman, I am getting married in July 2012, which means I have only 9 months before my wedding. Do I have enough time to straighten my teeth? And how long does an Invisalign treatment take?? From Lucy

Answer:

Dear Lucy,

Firstly, congratulations and thanks for your question! Invisalign treatment duration vary in length but generally last between 9 to 18 months. It is dependant on the complexity of the case and on the patient wearing their aligners.

I recommend that you visit an Invisalign provider for a consultation to get a better idea. Once you start treatment, your virtual 3D treatment plan (ClinCheck© treatment plan) will show the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This will let you know exactly how your teeth will look in 7, 8 or 9 months! Good luck!
