Question: I am not the pstient but have a genral query. If a patient has Invisalign (lite or normal), but the praticing dentist leaves the clinic mid treatment, would it be possible to sucessfully complete the treatment yourself if you possesed the alligners? Or is it a requirement to visit a dentist to check on progress?
Answer:
It would depend on whether the Dentist had planned to carry out any adjustments to the teeth during the course of the treatment. Then there would be the issue of whether you needed any refinement and retainers at the end of the treatment.
One option is to do a case transfer to another Invisalign Dentist to finish the treatment.
I hope this help.
